Well, it appears that at the rate at which Twitter is growing, you are either on it or you're not hot. Twitter is the next success story after Facebook.
Twitter is a very powerful micro-blogging social network that allows users to post tweets (short text messages of 140 characters) via the internet from a computer or other capable device.
In the US, even Barack Obama has a twitter account and so do a couple of Congressmen. It's a very popular micro-blogging platform that started in the US and is spreading across the world. Most people access their Twitter account by means of their mobile phones and this makes it easier and more accessible at every point in time.
Why Twitter? It as become a very relevant tool for connecting to fans, friends and families globally irrespectively of your location, work or status. Twitter helps you update your status online by means of Tweet posts which can be easily made by a mobile application. A lot of Nigerian Telecom Networks like Starcomms, Multi-links are including Twitter apps to help customers easily make posts on Twitter.
I recall an experience a bride had with her Tweeting husband just at they were at the altar. Her husband to be took a moment to update his twitter status by posting "Just married" before kissing his wife.
Twitter has come to stay and may very well take a long time to become irrelevant- If that ever happens.
Don't have a Twitter account, head on to get one now
