Now that Jonathan is president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria starting from May, he has about a year to provide that needed change requested by Obama and needed by Nigerians throughout the world. Change that we can believe in. It is saddening the way late Yaradua's sickness played out but also surprising the way he died without completing his tenure.
President Jonathan Goodluck is expected to complete the 7 point agenda since he was part of Yaradua's regime and it is the promise Nigerians would want fulfilled.
The Jonathanian Presidency has unexpectedly brought a lot of disequilibrium to political forces since he has emerged stronger and may probably be a contender for the 2011 race. I mean, who wouldn't be? It is only logical that anyone who has got close toe the corridors of power would not want to let it go. but it is not about greed, but more about the power that will enable the person to do his best effectively for Nigeria. Once a person becomes President, he feels it easier to do those things which an ordinary person would not be able to do for Nigeria. Jonathan is more of a patriot than a greedy politician. I believe he will do what is best for Nigeria. His recent structural changes to his cabinet and process of doing things has shown he wishes the best for our country.
