This is the first time that Nigerian musicians are being nominated for the American BET Awards and yes, it's official. They were nominated for "Best International Act" together with another Nigerian artisted based abroad - Sade.
Of course Nigerians and Africans have fallen in love with P-square - the talented twin musicians who have a lot of great selling songs to their credit like: - No one like you
- Do me
- IfunanyaAn then we have MI, a relatively newer musician who does well in Nigeria's rap industry. Mi's music is produced by the Chocolate city and he also has a lot of great selling rap songs to his credit like:- Safe
- AnotiThey were both nominated for the awards due to their outstanding roles as black musicians in the category - and to think that they are producing their songs with a base from Nigeria is quite applaud-able. It appears that the future has come where great songs will be coming from Africa and spreading to the rest of the world rather than how it used to be previously. P-square;s musical videos and choreography are so superb that you would wonder if the producers are from Nigeria. The quality and 3d digital scenes also used in Mi's musical videos are also the best sen so far from an African country and not forgetting how he raps. Now we actually have a Nigerian who has come with his own swagger.
