Maybe it's not the perfect poll or Maybe it does not consider the entire population, but based on the polls going on at Nigerian Newspapers on the topic - Who should be Nigeria's next President in 2011, the current President - Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is most favoured to remain as President having polled more than 77% of the votes consistently for more than a week. The second runner up is Muhammed Buhari((9%) while the third is IBB(6%).
Well It may not be the real thing but my guts are telling me that if Jonathan Goodluck contests the presidential elections in 2011, he would easily win. Call it the power of the incumbent and the popularity a sitting president commands while in power.
If Jonathan doesn't contest the 2011 election, I'm thinking the 2011 elections may not be easy for the ruling PDP to win and remain in power. They could be a lot of disagreements and close calls. The results may not bring out an unanimous winner but let's pray for a fair election. The PDP has a greater chance to maintain their lead if they give Jonathan a second term.
