I wonder who would be Nigeria's next president. I personally would have preferred Jonathan, for the sake of continuity and growth of our young democracy, but Jonathan's extended stay at Aso rock beyond a single term may not bring peace in Nigeria, between the north and south. But the problem now is that the north has not yet presented any credible person to represent their interests, all we see are old and familiar faces. We want new faces, really, if we are to move Nigeria forward.
Only God would finally decide who would be the next president of Nigeria would be but I'm praying that whoever it becomes, let it be for the best. Christians and Muslims need to pray because things are getting better in Nigeria unlike before when we had the military days. The economy is improving and the private sector is growing, all we need is a responsible and honest govt who truly loves the people and want the best for the country. We would not want a President who is cowardly or corrupt. We need a God fearing President with zero tolerance for corruption.

It is hard to predict who would be the next president of Nigeria. Jonathan is my choice. In the words of Mr. Otorofani "This man appaears remarkably different from the power merchants in the PDP. He is a chip from another block. Above all, he's not ambitious, and yet power finds him out wherever he is hiding and latches on to him like a second skin." He did not campaign nor was he so anxious to become the president of Nigeria. The cloud of uncertainty over his political party should not be glossed over. Jonathan's extended stay in Aso rock, under the PDP, may cause trouble in Nigeria. The cabal are not interested in a peaceful political situation in Nigeria. If President Goodluck Jonathan turns out to be honest sincere and dedicated leader, then he can move Nigeria forward. If he is going to be surrounded by the same cabal who tried to overthrow him some months ago, then Nigeria will never move forward.
To the next President I say, Nigerians home and abroad will love you for ever if you can deliver without bribery and corruption. Nigerians will love you more if you can provide them with good roads, water, and electricity. If you and your followers are not running abroad for medical remedies. If Nigerian schools and universities are good enough for students from America, England, and other parts of the world. If you can operate the Nigeria criminal justice system without the suppression of justice.
President whoever you may be, your name will remain honorable and indelible in history, if you can lead Nigeria without bribery, corruption and the suppression of justice. God bless Nigeria.
