I happened to overhear a conversation between two people at a public place. These guys were just discussing at the top of their voices without considering the presence of other people around them. Inasmuch as I didn't like the noise they were making, I kind of connected with them for the fact that they were talking football and in this case about the Super Eagles misfortune at the South African world cup. While Messi'a Argentina side messed us up, the Greeks left us a gift that was so humilitating. I wouldn't want to start talking about how both our northern Kaita's lost us the game, but these guys here were talking about other factors - The Vuvuzelas and the Jabulani ball.
The Vuvuzelas are those trumpet like pipes(horns) that fans carry to football stadiums and blow air into to support their teams while the Jabulani is the name of the new ball Adidas designed and is being used by FIFA currently for this world cup. You could see that Enyeama, our goalkeeper before the start of the game, wanted a feel of the ball by requesting it from one of the referees but I wonder what he felt. The Jabulani ball is said to have been properly designed to deliver more accurate passes and easier goals while the Vuvuzela keeps blowing into the ears of the football players nad it may have also been a source of distraction.
So do you think it was the Vuvuzela or Jabulani ball that caused our misfortune at the FIFA 2010 world cup or was it just another factor.

This is a very good reason only an insane man can construct. Our lost-out from the match was attitudenal problem from our guys especially Yakubu.Let no one find any flimsy excuse to this, rather let them be more constructive.
Re: Super Eagles misfortune: Is Vuvuzela or Jabulani to blame Posted by Adeola Olakunle on July 01, 2010 at 11:48:45: I've been so touched since d ouster of the Super Eagles and I have been looking for an avenue to open up my mind. Thank God for this opportunity, all we need in Nigeria is a total overhaul of the so-called Glass House. We need relevant people and people with great vision for Sport like Segun Odegbami, Fanny Amun, Adegboye Onigbinde as NFF President. On the issue of who should be in the hot-seat as the Coach, I'll prefer the duo of Stephen Keshi and Samson Siasia, they should be give 4-year contract and player like Ayegbeni, Kanu, Yobo, Utaka and the aged ones should give way for young player that are more hungry. Thanks
