It has been over a year since the current CBN governor, Sanusi took over from Charles Soludo. Since Sanusi's entry as the number one man that calls the shots in the banking industry, the sector has experienced a lot of changes ranging from restructuring, probes of banking reports and top executives as well as other major issues.
How do you think Sanusi's policies so far have affected you or the country in the last one year?

Posted by boi on June 21, 2010 at 07:55:18: cbn gov. has revealed so many hidden facts on nigerian economy especially banking sector and stock market. cbn gov and finance minister must take drastic effort to convince the executive to address price of the essential commodities and renumeration of workers in this nation. late gen tunde idiagbon tried in 83, 84 and forced individual market prices to a bearest minimum. the average working class cannot feed three square meal a day talkless jobless and low salary earner.

Re: How would you rate Sanusi's performance so far as CBN governor? Posted by ojoh taiwo on June 23, 2010 at 04:00:14: i see him as visionary.our country doesn't have to start from the basics again. we need to leapfrog, we need radical changes. because we have lost decades of development, who we need is someone who can redefine possibilities and agrressive in policy implementation. conservatism is not an appropriate strategy for a country like nigeria and for that sanusi should be better appreciated. howeever,we should realize that sanusi is not infallible, he is also human so we should not expect the eldorado from him. furthermore no freedom without sacrifice, whatever pain we are experiencing now i think is worth it. it should be noted that economies can only grow through wealth creation and this is exactly what sanusi is trying to do.

He is not Igbo nor the son of Oduduwa per se. Pls allow this gentle man to function just like others b4 him who were allowed free hand to change our denominations simplely because they dont like the Arabic symbol. Enough of this pls.
