If you are one of those who love to make quick money or perhaps you just want to see if you've got good luck, then partaking in the many get rich quick promos offered by Nigeria's GSM companies may very well be the best thing for you to do.
Almost all the Telecoms companies have done or are still doing a win win promo and they spend a lot in advertising these schemes just to make sure that everyone of their customers at least hears about it.
Personally, I don't really believe in get rich quick promos or lotteries or gambling since I am not really convinced that I will win, although I have participated in a few of them like the Zain millionaire or MTN 2010 promo.
There are quite a lot of promos being promoted by companies like MTN, Zain, Etisalat and Glo. I prefer partaking in promos that give instant gifts or rewards to customers and not lotteries. If a GSM company tells is that you will be credited with an additional N1000 for every N2000 credit you load, then that is preferable but if you are told to keep sending a text to a particular number in order to enter a lottery at the end, those are not attractive promos to me because one doesn't know what is coming to him for certain. Some type of promos to avoid
- Send text to ***** in order to enter a draw or qualify for a chance to win
- Lotteries
- Raffle draws
- Other promos with only low probability of winningThose are not the kind of promos to get yourself involved in because in the end, even if you become the winner, they would have been many losers and you would end up rejoicing while others are crying. Although it is an agreement between participants and the company to accept their fate at the end of the promo, from my personal view, I don't like partaking in such kind of promosTypes of promos that are worth taking advantage of
- Those that give instant reward for your efforts
- The ones that offer you a discount for spending on air time
- Free gifts for signing up or making a call
- Free on-net calls for loading creditWhile I still think that everyone has a right to partake in promos, there is still a dark cloud on these activities carried out by Nigerian GSM firms such that there is really no independent body that is set out by Govt to protect the interests of the public and also verify if these promos are truly fair and follow a predefined set of acceptable rules. I still think that a lot of people have been scammed into playing get rich quick games with no probability of ever winning due to a probability of bias on the side of the organizers.P.S. I Remember someone telling me that he has got more than 2 million points yet has not even won a generator or anything to show for it. Thank God it wasn't me. These kind of promos are easily addictive and I think a lot of people may need psychiatric help.
