If you don't already know then now you should, Nigeria is practically that largest market in Africa. This is due to it's staggering population of over 150 million people. It may not have the largest land mass in Africa but it appears that from ancient times, most African populations migrated to Nigeria - the river Niger area, perhaps due to its fertility and stable environmental conditions and the river Niger. It is also known to be the major spot from which transatlantic slave trade took place and a lot of African-American descendants are known to have traced their roots to Nigeria.
Nigeria has a huge human resource and it also has vast natural resources such as oil and gas, agricultural produce, bitumen, gold and others.
Nigeria also has a lot of professionals which are reknown the world over such as Philip Emegwali, Ngozi Iweala, Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka and others.
Nigeria has the largest army in the West African region and is a stabilizing force in ECOWAS.
Telecommunication has grown in Nigeria over a few years after introduction and now is the faster growing country in Africa in terms of telecoms.
