At around 7.45pm Nigerian time today and much to the expectation of many BBA Viewers, who were mainly from Nigeria, Uti Nwachukwu has been declared the winner of the Big Brother Africa All stars game which ended today after more than 90 days(13 weeks) in the house. I was kinda expecting it because after the 3 musisians from Nigerian getting on stage and then the other housemates probably voted for Uti such as Mwisho's, Sheila's. The margin between Uti and Munya was slim with 8 countries for Uti while Munya had 7 countries. Munya was shocked and didn't believe it. He has expected that he will win but the so-called SADC votes did not work for Munya nor MUFC today, UFC had the game going
It was really a tension filled game from the start with Munya being nominated and at times swapped by Housemates for many times since they did't relate well with him except for Tatiana. At the start of the game, there was a Mock eviction which saw Africa voting out two housemates they least loved - Tatiana and Kaone. The two were later given an opportunity to go back to the house and the next time two people would have to be evicted from the house. The Barn
Later on the first two housemates to leave the house were Sammy from Ghana and Hannington from Uganda. But to their surprise, they were only going to another home called the Barn and were told that they were still in contention for the prize. Live in the Barn varied with what was found in the house. While at the Barn, former housemates(Now Barn mates) find it hard at first to adjust to Barn live where there were chickens and Cows they would have to milk every morning as well as packing their dungs. It was not really easy and Barn mates found it easy to get demoralised.
Sammy chose to walk out after he had an illness and Hannington was evicted based on rules as a result of assaulting Lerato when they had a group task. Yacob who came toe the Barn later on chose to walk out after being demoralised. They were other people who got evicted from the house only to find themselves going to the Barn unexpectedly and these included Paloma, Jen, Yacob, Sheila, Tatiana, Code and Meryl(The last woman to leave the main house). At the house, they were 4 seemingly strong contenders for the prize which included Uti, Munya, Kaone and Mwisho who never went to the Barn. Other Highlights
After Sammy, Hannington and Yacob went home from the Barn, newer Barn mates came from the house and soon the Barn was filled with only females with the exclusion of Code, the only man in the Barn.
Meryl was the last woman standing in the house and had a growing relationship with Mwisho who equally made a formal marriage proposal to Meryl on the show and in front of their relatives.Closing the Barn
After several weeks, viewers were asked to vote for their 2 most loved Barn mate who they would love to return to the house and the Barn was to be closed. Africa voted massively for Sheila and then Tatiana. Later on, a third Barn Mater was given the opportunity to go back the house after a small game by Bigger and the lucky one was Lerato. The remaining Barn Mates were asked to go home and this included Palome, Jen, Code and Meryl.Munya vs Uti
While Uti found it easy to relate socially with other housemates, Munya was having fights with almost everyone and was almost always getting nominated but yet surviving the eviction. Either Munya's fans know how to vote well or Africa just wants to keep him in the house. Munya's continued survival despite all challenges put him up with Uti who was equally seen as a strong contender. The last Big Brother Africa was won by a Nigerian - Kevin and now Uti equally seemed to be winning Africa on his side but with Munya, the votes seem to be getting polarized with viewers either going for MUFC or UFC. Munya seemed to be getting support from South African countries called SADC and perhaps did not want another Nigerian winning $200,000 again. However, Africa had to vote and today we got to see the winner. How the Votes were cast
Uti won the votes after 8 African countries voted for him
Munya his closest contender got votes only from 7 countries
Tv Show on Sunday
It began with Ik paying a visit to the housemates and then on the stage the first musician to grace the day was Nigeria's Maye Hunter.
Then Ik came of the stage and called the outside housemates beginning with Sammy, then Hannington, intellectual Yacob, engaged Meryl, cool Code, Paloma, the great dancer Jennifer, Kaone and then wild TatianaEvictions on the final day
It began with Ik announcing the first housemate to leave the Big Brother house. I thought that he would just announce the winner straight up. I guessed the winner then will be the last man standing
The evictions from the final five were as follows
- Sheila from Kenya
- Mwisho from Tanzania Then Nigeria's M.i. with his brother Jesse Jagz was invited to the stage by IK for the song called Anoti. It was a fine performance with a different background music. The next person to be evicted was
- Lerato from South AfricaLeaving Uti from Nigerian and Munya from Zim as we must have expected. Then Ik invited another Nigerian musician - Tuface who performed on the stage with his new song called Implication. It was nice! The last announcement from Ik - presenter of BBA5, was for the name of the winner of this game and guess who it was?
****** UTI UTI UTI ************
Conclusion
With all the thrills, suspensions and surprises, I'm still thinking and don't know for sure what Biggie is going to do next even after 91 days. This is probably the best and most unpredictable Big Brother Africa show ever and I guess that's why it's called Big Brother All stars.
I'm guessing Munya did some homework before going for the show but it was not strong enough to counter UFC who had Africa voting massively for him. Munya could have won but Africa decided it was for UTI since they were voting for only one winner. So being nice to people could help. If Muya had been nicer to housemates, he could have won

Re: UTI wins Big Brother Africa All Stars Posted by Afam on October 18, 2010 at 04:11:37: There are two ways to vote easily. One is by using Mxit and the other is by sms. Websites and internet connection are not always reliable but with sms and MXit. It's the bomb.
Re: UTI wins Big Brother Africa All Stars Posted by Rachel on October 18, 2010 at 04:12:12: $200,000! Na wa oh. Is that not N30m?
Re: UTI wins Big Brother Africa All Stars Posted by Max on October 18, 2010 at 04:13:20: Uti kinda let us down at times in the house when he was always picking on housemates and he didn't really act really civilised but we forgive him. Bring the money home and don't take it to Kenya for now.
Re: UTI wins Big Brother Africa All Stars Posted by Oshady on October 18, 2010 at 04:14:09: Kevin, Uti, Katung, What are you people doing with your money so far.
By the way when is Uti coming back to Nigeria and when or where is the party at?
Re: UTI wins Big Brother Africa All Stars Posted by Okafor on October 18, 2010 at 04:15:17: I'm feeling this guys. Close shave. MUFC rigged the votes or I wouldn't see how Tanzania would leave Mwisho and vote for Munya. Nothing but rigging. Like Munya like Mugabe.
Re: UTI wins Big Brother Africa All Stars Posted by Floxy on October 18, 2010 at 04:15:51: I would like to do a one on one interview with Uti. Where is he now?
Re: UTI wins Big Brother Africa All Stars Posted by patricia on October 21, 2010 at 07:59:49: I think big brother africa is the most staged, most fake game of all. Why not move the game to Nigeria since it seems it's a nigerian game or rather a badly shot nigerian movie
Re: UTI wins Big Brother Africa All Stars Posted by Felix Okoli on October 21, 2010 at 07:59:49: I doubt if it is. Uti deserved to win and if you are talking about the Big brother voting system, you can learn more about it here
