A Credit card is a very important tool for the web savvy especially if you are on of those who would like to shop online. With a valid credit card, you could shop online at e-commerce websites across the world and even make payments at ATMs and POS at millions of stores.Getting a valid credit card in Nigeria used to be cumbersome and almost impossible until recently with the entry of both Visa and Mastercard into the Nigerian banking industry. Now all an individual needs to do to get a credit card that works, even for online payments, is to walk to a bank and apply.The Visa card is one of such kinds of cards and it is quite different from a Mastercard. A Visa card is uniquely coded with 16 digits while it starts with a 4.The Visa credit card comes with a VISA logo and also a 3 digit figure at the back which is referred to as the CVV code which you can use in conjuction with your credit card number to make a payment online.There are several banks where Visa credit card is issued in Nigeria on of which is Intercontinental bank. Getting a credit card from the bank just requires you fill the application form which will ask your name, address and occupation. You will also need to show a valid form of identification like a National ID or International Passport. You will also need to fund the credit card account with at least $150. The Visa card which is issued by Intercontinental banks comes in various forms with the prepaid visa being easy to get as you could start using it within 24 hrs. The Prepaid Visa card is non personalized and comes with an ICB number and your should keep the details to yourself. All the Prepaid card requires for activation after you collect it is to call the card customer center indicated on your card and ask them to activate it. You can keep calling the number subsequently if you want to make inquiries on the card like checking balances, etc.There are other variants of Visa credit card denominated in US dollars which IB offers and it includes a Personalized card that carries your name and it comes in higher values like $500 + and it can come in handy if you are travelling out of Nigeria and want to have an easy means of carrying cash without actually carrying cash. The Visa credit card can work on ATMs in London, the US and a lot of other locations where the Visa brand is accepted.

The Bank -Intercontinental Bank visa card remain the best and fast to issue.
