Shoulda blogged about this earlier but anyway I'm doing it today. It's 2012 and Big Brother Africa is already in its 7th season and this one is titled Bid Brother Stargame. The game is on and already showing on DSTV channel 198 as well as DSTV mobile. You will need to get subscribed for it first and opt to enable that channel if you want to start watching it. You also need to configure your Parental control settings to 18+. As usual, it involves participants from different African countries all living in a secluded house for 91 days with the ultimate aim of winning a whooping monetary price based on how popular they are with the voting viewers. There has been quite a lot of changes with BBA 7 when compared with other seasons and I just want to list some of them here:Features:
1. Pairing: Housemates now compete as pairs from each participating country so if you get evicted, both will go rather than just one and if they win, both will share the loot as one.2. Paired diary sessions: Now housemates go to the diary session in twos rather than singles. So each paired housemate from a country share a diary session4. Prize money: Prize money is now $300,000 and I'm guessing the money will be shared by the two paired housemates. BBA 6 was pegged at $200,000.5. Celebrity housemates: Known celebrities have also been included in the BBBA game but they are housed in a different house called Upville while other housemates are housed in Downville.6. Two houses: Called Upville and Downville. Upville is for celebrities while downville are for the other housemates. But I don't think those in Upville are in for the prize money.
The host: Same old Ik Osadiokuwa and he's still got it.Participating countries
Housemates are from these countries: Angola, Namibia, Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. New entrants are taken from Liberia and Sierra Leone, replacing Ethiopia and MozambiqueWhen will the Big Brother Stargame end?
Well at the end of 91 days and since this show started on Sunday May 5, it will end on Sunday August 5th 2011.Strange developments
Already the Nigerian paired housemates - Chris and Ola had already left downville voluntarily due to health reasons by Ola. So it seems other countries rather than Nigeria has a better chance at winning this prizeVoting is on
