It seems that violence is not yet abated in Jos as just a day before Christmas, some bombs have reported to have exploded during the Christmas eve celebrations in a village. More than 20 people have been killed in the bombing with the streets becoming abandoned after the tragedy. Already the military have been involved in securing the lives of people living.
This is not the first time they had been religious violence in the Plateau as the tension is rooted in decades of resentment between indigenous groups, mostly Christian or animist, who are vying for control of fertile farmlands and for economic and political power with migrants and settlers from the north. In a seperate incident too, some attackers threw petrol bombs into a Baptist church killing the pastor and injuring some other people during Christmas eve service.
Although the violence has stopped for now after the blasts, there is still a lot of public fear about finding lasting peace in the cities.
The Middle-belt of which Jos and Maiduguri are part of is like the meeting point between Nigeria's core Muslim north and Core Christian south and this is one of the many violent attacks that have been affecting the nation for several years now since independence.
Majority of Muslims and Christians in Nigeria believe in peace and live together as a family but some few negative elements and fundamentalists still try to break that fragile peace once in a while while trying to use religion as an excuse.

The problem of crisis can only be over when people understand that killing fellow humanbeing is bad and evil. Then the act can be stop. The religion leader should teach there follower that killing fellow humanbeing is bad and evil and that God hate the act. Then it will be over.
