Is it just for the PDP chairman to have resigned just because the PDP NEC is more concerned about winning elections in 2011 than the rights of Nwodo? Is it more about putting the interests of the party before the interests of one man? This somehow makes one reflect on the biblical passage that says "It is better for one man to die for the sake of the people than for the people to perish for the sake of one man". Well it's true that Nwodo has a lot of court cases pending and which may destabilize the success of the PDP in 2011 elections. So it appears that the PDP NEC might have advised him to resign in the interest of the party. These are times when you would say that politics can be unfair since somehow Nwodo's rights have been denied but maybe he accepted it in good faith but would haev probably preferred otherwise. Nwodo's resignation came out as a result of many pending litigations and also possible from his loss of favour with South East PDP governors some days ago. Most of these things are actually happening after PDP conventions across states in Nigeria and the FCT.
