Is it all politics again as these two South western politicians throw words at each other on the pages of newspapers?
The general elections are around the corner again and Olabode George of the AC seem to be in a war of words albeit, in the media as they see each other as perhaps, public enemies. Bode George was seen as the strongman of the PDP in the South west and in Lagos especially before his conviction and sentencing to prison about 2 years ago and somehow the activities of the PDP in the state has been on the downturn since then with the AC holding sway of the region for long.
It was somehow revealing that soon after his release from prison and amidst pomp and celebration, Bode George was said to have declared publicly that Bola Tinubu was responsible for sending him to prison. On a second day, the former governor of Lagos state and leader of the AC has responded on the same Nigerian newspapers that "He needs help".
Well is it just politics between the two party men who have both been struggling to win or retain Lagos and South West politics which seems to be falling into the expanding grasp of the ACN? Will Bode George still have a role to play in PDP's eagerness to win Lagos state for the first time?
Is it just a personal vendetta towards Tinubu by Bode George? Only time will tell.
