Most Visited Nigerian websites for October 2010

October remained relatively the same with some minor shake-ups and movers. I last reviewed the most visited Nigerian websites in August 2010 for July.
This list is not conclusive but it contains the top ten most visited website that relates to Nigeria.
Guess which website comes on tops for October?
Well it's none other than Nairaland.com! Although Nairaland ranks 7 when it comes to the totality of websites that drive Nigerian web traffic such as Yahoo, Facebook and other global sites, it is however the number one website that is focused on Nigerian content and audience.I would have limited it to only 10 but in order to see how some other relatively sites are coming up, I decided to increase the number to 20.
Well, here is the list of top 20 most visited Websites according to Alexa's ranking:1. Nairaland.com: This is actually an online Nigerian forum that runs on SMF and it has the highest traffic from Nigeria although other visitors are from countries like UK, US and Canada. It is actually the most trafficked website out of Africa.
2. Punchng.com: An online Nigerian newspaper website
3. Nigerianbestforum.com: An online Nigerian forum that runs on smf and wordpress. Moved from 7 to 3 since July
4. Sunnewsonline.com: A popular online newspaper website
5. GTBank.com: A top bank website that has got a sweet interface
6. 234next.com: A site that publishes latest news.
7. Tribune.com.ng: An online newspaper website
8. Naijahotjobs.com: A top Nigerian job portal and internet forum that runs on SMF. Moved from 10 to 8 since July
9. Thenationonlineng.net: Reports breaking and recent news about Nigeria
10. Nigeriagalleria.com: An online information site like a directory
11. Ngrguardiannews.com: A trusted name for Nigerian news in print and web
12. chams.net: Also located at naira.com is an online shopping portal.
13. ngcareers.com: Relates to growing job information site
14. Nairalist.com: A top classified ads website
15. Thisdayonline.com: A Nigerian newspaper website
16. Saharareporters.com: Focuses on Nigerian news and content
17. Naijapals.com: An interesting and social network for Nigeria
