This is not meant to be a negative review of Google's Chromebook but to shed more light on what this latest product is about or not.
There has been a lot of buzz on the web about Google's Chromebook and how it would change the way people connect the internet or kind of notebooks they are likely to buy. It seems that nowadays more and more people are getting on the web from New York to Canada, London to China, South Africa to Nigeria, Brazil to Australia, internet usage is surging and billions of people already have access to the internet and are kind of addicted to one website or another. When it comes to social networking there is facebook, when it comes to searching, there is Google, when it comes to email there is Yahoo and for softwares there is Microsoft, entertainment, there is Youtube and so on. There are already hundreds of millions of websites and still counting. College students need to get online to make research, solve problems or do course registrations. With the recession, there are more people searching for jobs and even working on the web and all these seem to be helping to make Google's latest notebook called the Chromebook a timely product. It came when it is most needed.
Nowadays people don't really spend much time on their computer offline than they do online. On the web, there is a tonne of information and services that can help make life much easier. Even programmers are finding it easier to share tools, make research and find solutions on peer websites and with a Google chromebook that just boots up and connects to the web in as little as 8 secs, what more could the modern day notebook user ask for? Now I watched a review of the Google Chromebook on CNN and have seen other reviews on several blogs and found out that the device does have its in-capabilities. There are several things your Chromebook may not be able to do but in all, it's still a cool device. But before you buy a Chromebook, you need to weigh the advantages over its flaws or disadvantages. Some of the things which the current Google Chromebook can't do includes
- Operate without a Gmail account
- Run most traditional desktop applications like Word, Excel, outlook or photoshop
- Open all types of files in USBWhy would I get a Chromebook?
If you spend most of your computer time online, then it is very great for accessing your email, chatting, social networking, internet banking, shopping, entertainment like on Youtube, researching and doing a lot of online stuff. It is much faster and lighter than your average computer. The Google Chromebook desktop works much like your Chrome browser and can open a lot of files within the browser as well as work with the added Google apps which helps to make up for what it doesn't have offline like for documents, you may use Google Docs, or maybe Office Web Apps. Instead of Skype, you might consider using Gmail's built-in voice and video chat. For an image editor you can use Sumo Paint and Aviary's advanced suite.Buy The Chromebook
