It seems Nigeria is longer as safe as we used to think. With the global war against terrorism and rising rebellion in countries around the world, Nigeria too has its own enemies. Recently, these few years of democratic rule have been witnessing large scale violence on after the other. It has just recently been reported that a bomb blast has rocked Abuja at the United Nations office. It seems that the terrorists are trying to sen a message to the world. Earlier, I had written about the need for installing CCTV camera's around Abuja due to the rising rate of violence in the north. I hope CCTV cameras were around to at least capture this so that we may be able to at least know how to tackle our enemies. I still wonder if these terrorists were home bred or imported as mercenaries from other African nations. There are no reports yet about any casualties but this is probably going to affect the lives of people living in Nigeria's capital city.Wherever the terrorists came from, it simply shows that we need to step up our security level to at least red if there is anything like that. Our borders need to be really checked by no corrupt personnel and we also need to increase the security situation in our capital Abuja. It is funny that now Libyans are almost celebrating the exit of Qaddafi, we a re just beginning to get out own taste of violence. We know that Nigeria probably has a couple of enemies, some for Jonathan, some against Democracy, then the Qaddafi call for Nigeria's disintegration and still our own Boko Haram. We probably don't know yet those who are behind this latest violent act at Abuja. If Abuja is not safe, where is safe? Will the Federal govt relocate the capital, albeit temporarily to Lagos or will they be able to improve the security situation in the nation's capital? I hope there is at least more security information about the masterminds.
