It's probably true that most Nigerians may see our Senators as being only interested in money and people who sponsor bills at the Senate irrespective of what the bill contains but on this issue on Gay marriage or relationships, the Senators really showed that they value morals over material wealth as they overwhelmingly opposed the issue of Gay/Lesbian marriage in Nigeria by supporting a bill to make it illegal. This was in spite of the pressures they may have had from the international community to allow it so as to "according to them" promote human rights. I liked the way the Senate President David Mark became the first person to oppose it and said this kind of freedom is unacceptable. Yes, there is a limit to everything and things like gay marriage shouldn't be supported because it just doesn't fit into the Nigerian way of like. The Senators did a noble thing despite the fact that the British Prime minister David Cameron is said to have vowed to block financial aid to countries who opposed gay marriage. Now in Nigeria, who really cares about what the British prime minister had to say, afterall, they've been blocking a lot of Nigerian interests already such as our airlines, investors, visa applicants and so on.
Our customs, tradition and even religion do not support it. On this issue of gay marriage, Nigerians believe that the Europeans and Americans must have really erred and being a God fearing people, we wouldn't want to risk his wrath. So Kudos to David Mark and all the Senators who opposed that lifestyle that is ruining our world today. It's a nice thing that Christians and Muslims in Nigeria agree on this and we thank God for it. On my part, I believe gay marriage goes against nature and would really spell doom for mankind. Just think of what would happen if the whole world was gay.

we really appreciate God Almigthy for touching the heart of nigerian senators not to further pollute the country and enroll her in to the demonic clubs of the world which is not the best for us as a country trying to stand on her feet.
