The Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) is a large and old university hospital in Lagos. But from all the stories I have been hearing from people, it is not a safe place to take people who are sick or injured people to as it is quite common for patients to die or get misdiagnosed despite the bills they pay. Even my parents told me that all the people they took to Luth died there including my two sisters who died at birth. Why is is that LUTH leaves such a bad impression on people? It looks really bad and it is much safer to take your loved ones to specialist or private hospitals, no matter how big or small as patients are less likely to die there or get mis-diagnosed. LUTH needs to be restructured and if possible privatized so that it may gain back trust from a lot of Nigerians.

No need going there unless you want to suffer yourself and there is much corruption. Even when they ask you to buy blood and you do so, they tell you it is not good and reject it. In the end they will be the ones selling blood to you which they got from the same source you initially got yours. That is the problem with the public sector. There is just too much corruption and inefficiency there. They rarely care for patients
