This is a funny YouTube video that has gone viral in Nigeria. It is a Channels tv interview of an official of the current Lagos state Commandant of the NSCDC(Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps), Obafaiye Shema and this has been uploaded to Youtube. The funny thing about the video is that the officer didn't seem to know the name of his boss but rather referred to him as "my oga at the top". He also did not seem to know the official website of the NSCDC as he just referred to it as www.nscdc.I love Nigeria!Here is a brief transcript of the funny interview:
===========================
Interviewer: What is the website of the NSCDC?Shem: The website of the NSCDC. YES, we believe no, I cannot categorically tell you one now, because the one that we are going to…Interviewer: Do you have multiple websites?Shem: Wait, wait, the one we are going to make use of, I am not the one that will create it…..Interviewer: See, the question is what is your website?Shem: Wait…the one that we are going to make use of, is going to remain known by ‘my oga at the top’. Yes! I can’t announce one now and my oga says it’s another one we suppose to use. Interviewer: Are you saying you have multiple websites?Shem: We cannot have multiple websites, but the one that my oga…No no no, it’s not the one for employment.Interviewer: What is your website? The one you use normally your official website. When you want to know about NSCDC, what website do you go to?Shem: If you want to know about the NSCDC as at now, ok, www.nscdc. So, that’s all.Interviewer: www.nscdc that’s it?
====================Actually, the official website of the NSCDC is at www.nscdc.gov.ng for those who don't already know. I guess we can forgive him for not giving the full address since not every Nigerian understand IT but the funny phrase is when he pointed his hands to heaven and declared - "My Oga at the top". That's laughable.Anyway, these young interviewers should know the kind of questions they should be asking people.
