The fear of terrorist attacks keep growing in Nigeria as no one can claim to be totally safe from these attacks even though it is mostly occurring in north eastern and middle belt regions of Nigeria. Churches in southern Nigeria are already taking precautions to the annual terrorist attacks by Boko haram during festive seasons like Easter and Christmas. Churches in northern Nigeria have long become a target of attacks as several bomb blasts have taken the lives of worshippers during or after service. For those Christians who have died because they worshipped God at church, there is some spiritual consolation that having died in the name of the Lord, they would be crowned as martyrs in his kingdom. For their families who remain bereaved and for the government who remains the be blamed for not providing inadequate security, justice is still sought for those involved in the evil acts.Easter in an annual celebration in Nigeria and public holiday when Christians mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead after 3 days. Christ was remembered to have died on Friday and resurrected on Sunday. It is a holy day and one of the highest feast of the Church. It has also become one of the Christian festive days Islamist terrorists like Boko haram have become used to targeting attacks and the last time I recall was in 2012 when several churches were bombed on Easter Sunday. In 2013, Easter Sunday falls on March 31st 2013 and although it is meant to be a day of joy and merriment by Nigerian Christians, there is still some fear that the terrorist organizations may repeat their actions again in killing many innocent godly people in the name of Allah. The govt security forces have for some time now increased their protection around perceived targets of attack like the churches and govt establishments.Boko haram has by their actions been known as an anti-Christian organization which seeks to Islamize Nigeria by force beginning from the north. Their attacks have mostly been targeted at Christian churches, US embassies, United nations and government institutions in Nigeria.

I want to advice christians especially those in the north to be extra careful at this easter because the anti-christianity,the BOKO BOYS,may do it again as such is their character.Let's continue in prayers especially at this easter and shun making merry or catching fun.GOD IS WITH US.
