There are over 20 strong banks in Nigeria and when it comes to saving money, one of the things bank customers would like to know if their money really has time value attached to it.One of the things that adds value to one's bank deposit is the interest rate on that deposit. There are different types of bank accounts in Nigeria but that which offers the highest interest on savings is the fixed deposit account. There are a few Nigerian banks which actually offer double digit interest rates on your savings and I just want to list them below:FCMB 13.75%
Stanbic IBTC Bank 13.26%
Diamond bank 10%
Access bank 3.75% - 14%
Unity bank 3% - 12.75%
Union bank 6.00% - 12.00%
Zenith bank 3.00% to 11.50%
Sterling bank 7.25% - 10.25%For those with varying rates, the more funds you bring in, the higher the interest rate you could get for it and I'm talking about funds n excess of $10,000 or N1m. Most banks offer above 10% for funds above N1m invested in such fixed accounts and these are calculated and paid on maturity which can be anything from 3 months to 12 months. The investor can as well decide to renew his commitment for future years after maturity.Want to invest in financial products in Nigeria? Investing in banks now is actually a cool way to go.
