Amidst the rising and unchecked violence that erupted in certain northern states President Jonathan has in his capacity taken a decisive action by declaring a state of emergency in the following states: Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states. What really led to the President's decision? Well, I guess it was the bloody week we just witnessed in Nigeria such as the cult killings in Nasarawa, Boko haram attacks and other unexplained violence. The president had just returned from a visit to South Africa and was overwhelmed by the rising spate of violence and has given his reasons for declaring the order. What this means is that there would be a massive deployment of human resources from the Nigerian army to those key states for a time period to enforce peace and security. Cars and moving persons would be monitored and the army would totally take control of security in those states.
