With the advent of the internet and the growth of online shopping websites in Nigeria, there has never being a better time to shop online in Nigeria.Many of us who grew up in the 80s know that the normal way by which our parents go for shopping is by going to the main market and visiting merchants, shop by shop and some shopping malls too. People didn't even dream of a day when they would be able to shop for products and services without having to leave their homes. Well in Nigeria, this is now possible.
Shopping online affords one the ability to order for products and/or services and receive a home or office delivery. This had been made possible with the internet and e-commerce websites. It offers a platform for sellers and buyers to interact and do business with each other.Already, there are a lot of popular shopping websites in Nigeria and I would just list some of them here:- Jumia.com.ng
- Konga.com
- Kaymu.com.ng
- Buyam.com.ng
- Hellofood.com.ng
- Easyappetite.comShopping online in Nigeria is a bit similar to shopping on US websites but most of these Nigerian websites offer something different - they allow you to pay on delivery.Yeah, most Nigerians are actually not too comfortable with shopping online or paying money forward for a product they've not received. Many would rather be indebted to you than pay you forward. I guess that's why these new Amazon-like websites that are taking online shopping seriously also included that option on the table.There are a wide range of products and there are also niche websites and all aim to bring goods and services which are in high demand available to Nigerians who order for them.To shop online in Nigeria, one just need to at least register an email address and a phone number and he'll be given a buyer's account with which he can order to products. Once the products are delivered, he can pay on delivery either in cash or card payment.What does it really take to shop online in Nigeria?
======
- Decide on what you want to buy
- Visit an online shopping website
- Log in or register if you are a new user
- Browse for products of your choice and add it to your card
- Proceed to checkout when finished
- Pay with your card or choose to pay on delivery
- Expect delivery at home or do a pickup
- Expect delivery within a few days.If you've got any problems with your online shopping experience, you should go to the contact page of that website and call their numbers. You may also visit their office if necessary.
