One of the latest tools being used by the ruling APGA in repelling APC's chances of winning an election in Anambra state is probably the miscalculated deportation by Fashola. Recently the Lagos governor has owned up to the allegation that they were responsible for moving Nigerians allegedly of Igbo origin back to their home state in Anambra. The Anambra state governor had already complained about it and people in the state have ready about it in the news and it's already public opinion that APC governors have no regard for the rights of Ndigbo.Of all the candidates who have been courting relationship with South West politicians, it is Chris Ngige who is in the lead and he also used his popularity to win a Senatorial seat on the platform of the ACN in Igboland. Most people in Anambra still see the ACN as a Yoruba party and that's why the party needed to move into a bigger party to be seen as a national party. With the recent launch of APC through a combination of some mega opposition parties such as ACN, CPC and ANPP, APC has become the largest opposition party in Nigeria aiming to overcome the PDP. This has probably made the former governor Chris Ngige to seek a higher career again by returning to his former seat as governor after having been removed by a court case in favour of Peter Obi of APGA.Chris Ngige is a popular name in Anambra but the APC party is not that well accepted when there are other parties like the PDP and APGA.Fashola's recent deportation of people to Igbo land is seen as an APC action and will not win votes from majority of voters. It may very well affect Ngige's ambition and it would have been better for him if he were running under APGA or PDP.
