Personally, I'm getting tired of watching CNN everyday and see a lot of helpless people being killed by their own government in Syria. It has almost turned to armageddon in that country and sometimes I just wish that the US would go to Syria and stop the civil war just like they did in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya.Anyway, the US had been criticized in the past for their sole attacks on certain Arab states since they increased their military presence in the middle east during the time of George Bush. Perhaps due to those criticisms and growing recession, the Obama govt doesn't seem to want to be identified as a war time president. But the fact remains that a stronger country like the USA needs to go to Syria to stop the ongoing bloodshed that is happening. I mean, what is happening in Syria cannot be compared to the bloodshed that is happening in North Eastern Nigeria.Recently, in the news, there were reports of hundreds of people, mostly children and women who had been killed as a result of chemical weapons and this was part of the condition earlier given by Obama as a red line that may prompt the US to take action on Syria. The middle east has not known peace for some time now especially as the Arab revolution began. I liked the way presidents in other Arab countries just resigned when their people protested against them but the case is different with Syria which probably planned for it by securing military weapons from Russian and China which they've been using to kill their own people. No wonder Russia doesn't support any external military intervention in Syria since it is probably making a lot of money from the Syrian government. The big question that now remains is if the USA will intervene in Syria now that their red line has been crossed as chemical weapons have been used. The death toll in Syria is not something good to talk about and yet the world is keeping quiet about it. The US parliament seems to be divided about what to do concerning Syria and the President seems to be shy about war.Countries which have been blessed with military might like the USA need to intervene to stop the Syrian war. They probably don't need to go to full scale war in Syria but it would be better if they could at least control the air space and stop Syrian warplanes.
