According to a recent video released by Boko haram showing their leader Abubakar Shekau, their plan is to sell the kidnapped girls in the open market and says he considers them as slaves. It is unusual for Boko haram, an Islamic terrorist group in Nigeria, to engage in kidnapping in the first place since they were not known for this. Their mode of attack has always being using bombs and guns to kill people in abloddy manner. It was so unusual for the media to report that they had been involved in a kidnapping of school girls at a Chibok secondary boarding school. Over 200 Nigerian girls are said to be still missing and their names had been published on the pages of the media with a majority of them being Christians.Parents of the kidnapped Chibok girls are terrified and depressed and only pray that they'd see their girls once again.Boko haram had disguised as men from the Nigerian army and came with trucks to the school and ordered the girls to enter the trucks for their safety. It seemed there was little or no resistance from the school's reinforced internal security which had been on high alert as a result of school bombings in Borno state by the group. It seems no school in Borno state is safe anymore and this might only make parents send their children to schools outside of the state where there is less security.Education in Borno state has being the major victim of violence in the state which is championed by the violent group which is claiming to be working to spread Islam in a bid to stop Western Education. It has been more than 2 weeks since the girls were kidnapped in Chibok and they are yet to be found. Already, there has been a public outcry against the Nigerian govt with protests holding in cities across the world like Lagos, London, New york and so on. Social media is already ablaze with support for the freedome of the Chibok girls with the #BringBackOurGirls going viral already. It seems Boko haram is in dire need of financial support and so may be interested in exchanging cash for the release of the girls. It is already suspected that some of these girls might have been taken out of Nigeria through the porous borders in the north.Nigeria has already started receiving military support from countries like China, USA, Britain and France and all hands are on deck to bring Boko haram to an end at the height of what could be called one of the most bloodiest years in Nigeria's history since the civil war. Will the Chibok girls be eventually freed? Will Boko haram trade them with the Nigerian govt for money? Will they be killed if the Nigerian military tries to use force on the group? How will the parents of the Chibok girls react at the end of all this.Oh God. We pray for Nigeria in distress!
