The world is now concerned about things happening in Nigerian when the issue of a massive kidnapping of school girls has been reported. However, somethng a bit mroe tragic happed before that and this was the bomb blast that occurred at a bus park in Nyanya and so it seems that the world is already forgetting about it.Are the Kidnapped Chibok girls worse than the innocent Nigerian who were killed at Nyanya? I think they are better off since they are at least alive and have a hope of being released after the payment of a ransom or hostage exchange. For the people that died at Nyanya, there is no coming back now and people that visited the scene that day would find it to be a very ugly experience. On that Monday morning about 6am, many people had gone to the bus park at Nyanya to take a bus that would take them to their various destinations without knowing that it was the last bus they would enter. Some others too were busy saying farewell to their friends at the park while others were just passerby. Evil men took the opportunity and concealed a time bomb that went off and killed over 70 people with many of their bodies dismembered and unrecognizable. This was in Abuja. That same day again at midnight, terrorists invaded a secondary school in Borno state with lorries and disguised as army men, overpowering the school security and taking away the girls who were already in their dormitories and preparing to sleep. Some girls managed to escape after discovering that they were being kidnapped and that the men were not from the Nigerian army. For almost a month now, over 200 Nigerian school girls from Chibok are yet to be free from their kidnappers and their parents are already crying for them.Just a few days ago, Boko haram has owned up to kidnapping the girls and even showed them on video. TheDespite the 2 ugly incidents that happened in Nigeria at both Nyanya and Chibok, it seems that it's only Chibok that has been more promoted by the media than Nyanya. What has the govt done to compensate the families of people who were killed at the bomb blast at Nyanya. I should believe that even if the govt cannot adequately provide security for people, they should at least provide compensation when they fail to do so. What has the media also done to show that they are concerned with all these bomb attacks? What happened to the Abuja CCTV contract? I should think public places that attract a lot of people should be adequately protected by the govt because those are the places where terrorists normally target. The world now seems to be so concerned about the Kidnapped Chibok girls and have joined the campaign to #BringBackOurGirls but what about joining a campaign that will #StopTerrorismInNigeria? The Nigerian govt doesn't seem to be doing enough to protect civilians in the country and I think it will only be wise to at least enact a law to allow people to start carrying arms themselves for protection even if it is just in their homes.More people have died from bomb blasts than they have from Kidnapping and we shouldn't focus all our resources of the Kidnapped Chibok girls when we have not stopped the killing of innocent Nigerians by terrorists. The world should be more concerned about how to help Nigeria stop these terrorist attacks that have killed over 4000 people.
