There were 2 bomb blasts in Jos on Tuesday and this have first been reported by CNN. It is one of the latest news relating to growing violence in northern Nigeria and over 100 bodies are said to have been reported with the death toll likely to increase. The explosions which seems like a terrorist attack was targeted at the Terminus market and were double explosions which occurred about 20 minutes apart.Although there is no official explanation yet as to who or what was behind this but it is commonly believed to be the work of Boko Haram, a terrorist group that is known to use bombs to attack people at densely population areas like religious centers, shopping malls, markets, residential homes and bus parks. There were a lot of dead bodies and so far they've collected about 118 of them with many other people injured. Some people were seen running away from the scene with blood stained bodies and with cries for help. It was a bloody Tuesday! The bombs blew up at the market which is located in an area dominated by Christians and many cars were left burning with buildings destroyed. The President, Jonathan Goodluck, has already condemned the blast and has reiterated his resolve not to give up the fight against the enemies of Nigeria. It is ironic that the bomb attacks occurred barely 24 hrs after the local media reported that some ECOWAS countries have announced their support to Nigeria in helping the fight against Boko Haram. One would have expected the activities of these group to be decelerating rather than accelerating. Jos is a stronghold for the PDP and although it has had its own issues of violence in the past, it is still a child's play to the evil that has happened in the Borno attacks.
