Jimi Agbaje, the current PDP's governorship candidate for Lagos state in 2015 visited SS Mulumba and David Catholic church lawanson on Sunday to offer a thanksgiving with his family, friends and well wishers during the mass.Agbaje is reported to have grown up a Catholic Christian and served mass as an altar server too and part of the things he's currently doing is identifying with different groups that are more likely to vote for him come March.Although he made no speech at the Church during his visit, his presence and subsequent thanksgiving was announced by the officiating parish priest at the 7.30 am mass.Lagos state has never had a Catholic as a Civilian governor and the closest Catholic politician to have ran for the office was the late Funsho Williams. If he wins, Jimi Agbaje will be the first Christian from the Catholic fold to be a civilian governor of Lagos state. Most politicians in Lagos state who have been running for the office of governor have mostly met with voters across religious lines and have sought blessings from religious groups such as Muslims as well as Christians. Jimi Agbaje will be hopeful that at least most Christians and Catholics especially deliver bulk votes for him in 2015 since he is one of them. It's not easy for an opposition party to win in a governorship election when the ruling party has been ruling for almost 16 years but things could change as PDP and Jimi Agbaje are working harder to get more voters out to vote for a change in government for Lagos state.
