It has been reported that a Catholic Priest, Reverend Father Dennis Osuagwu has been killed in Imo state probably when on his way to St Mark's Catholic chaplaincy to say mass for men of the Nigerian Armed forces..The Catholic priest is regarded as an ordained man of God and pastor. He was a lecturer at the Imo state Polytechnic in Umuagwo before his death. It appears that this was a case of assassination by enemies as nothing visible was stolen from him and police are already investigating the matter. He was killed with a knife by unknown persons as his throat was slit and his belly cut open.It appeared that he was waylaid by hoodlums or cultists on his way to the chapel and along the Port harcourt road Owerri in the morning with his SUV. He was not reported to have had any quarrels or troubles with anyone but rather was seen as one of the best lecturers at his department.Until his death, he was a Director of Students Industrial Works Experience scheme at the polytechnic.May his soul rest in peace, Amen.
