A lot of people in Africa and particularly in Nigeria don't have 24hrs electricity and this is because power companies in those countries are still not able to produce enough electricity to meet the growing demand. In Nigeria for instance, the demand for electricity far outweighs it supply by over 30 times and the government yearly budget is not sufficient to invest in such a power project yet. The growing demand for electricity in Nigeria is partly as a result of importation and use of electronic products into the country which has oil exports as it main source of revenue. As more and more Nigerians continue to migrate to cities or use electronic gadgets, the more their need for electricity grows. People buy electronic stuff like fridges, electric fans, pressing irons and so on but there is hardly enough electricity to power them. The most commonly used electronic device in Nigeria is the electronic fan and this is so because people need to cool their body temperatures down because it's in the tropics and they experience a lot of heat most of the year round. The need for cooling is an essential one that makes life easier for many Nigerians as people find it hard to stay at home or office if the room temperature is not cool enough and toe prevent dehydration. Electric fans help to cool down a room by ventilating it through the circulation of air. The problem with most traditional electric fans is that there is not enough electric power available to power them in Nigeria and so many Nigerian families don't feel comfortable going to sleep when there is a power cut. With electronic fans now having the ability to run on batteries, it only goes to make life easier for many Nigerian families.Rechargeable electric fans are fans that can work with electricity while it's available from the power company and still be able to keep working to cool a home even after a power cut. Power cuts are regular in Nigeria as people never expect power always and so having a sort of backup power plan to power one's devices is essential. Most Nigerians own and operate a mechanical power generator but they make a lot of noise and contribute to air pollution which has resulted in the death of many families while they slept. Smart Nigerians now know that it's safer using a rechargeable fan rather or other better form of electronic device rather than having a mechanical generator powered on while sleeping.Rechargeable fans can work with their batteries which are rechargeable and they need to be charged after they've been purchased and installed before they are used. It may take about 10 hrs to recharge them and they can be used for about 5 hrs after that. They have the ability to store electricity when it's supplied from either the power company, generator or a solar power system and after that, they can keep working as long as their batteries have some juice remaining in them.Unlike traditional electric fans, rechargeable fans tend to weight less and are built with mostly light plastic material so as to conserve it's energy and so they use less energy than traditional fans. They can easily be installed as they come with setup manuals which are easy to understand. It's rare to visit a Nigerian home after there is a power cut and see an electric fan still working but the use of rechargeable fans is becoming common among smart Nigerians who know about it and they use it to make up for the lag in power supply such that even when the power company disappoints them, they can still stay cool under the hot weather. In foreign countries located more closely to the north pole, the weather in mostly cold but in Nigeria, the reverse is the case as it's mostly warm and that's why people prefer wearing loose clothes and breathable fabric such as those made of cotton. Having an electric fan or air conditioner is one of the ways they find it easy to survive but without an air cooling device such as an electric fan, life can become almost unbearable in Nigeria.Bottom line is that if one must life in Nigeria under the current weather conditions, one must find a way of cooling himself and if you live in a country where power supply is not encouraging, the only sane way to remain sane is to get something like a rechargeable fan and probably connect it to solar panels if there is a prolonged outage of power supply.
