If you ask me I would say that the recent complaint which the Anambra governor made against the Lagos APC governor Fashola is somehow, a politically calculated one which further weakens the APC's strength in the South East. The news is already in the air all over Anambra state and indeed the entire Igbo world that the Lagos state government is now deporting Igbo people in a country which is supposed to allow freedom of movement.I think that Fashola did not really do well in deporting those people or at least did not do it at the right time since elections are coming up and APC which already has Chris Ngige as their candidate for Anambra 2014.First of all, one would have expected a lawyer to know that people are not meant to be deported to their state of origin just because they are handicapped, unsound mind or just poor and again if they do not wish to be moved. They have rights too. With the elections around the corner, many people in the South East now see APC and their candidates not to be in favour of the Igbo race since they cannot guarantee their rights or have respect for her people.Obi must have seen the opportunity and thought it wise to strike the first blow by publicizing the APC and anti-Igbo and this has further strengthened APGA as the party to beat in Igbo land. With the way the political atmosphere is right now, the race seems to have been narrowed down to APGA and PDP. The PDP on their own don't have a consensus candiate yet but with their stream of politcal heavyweights who are all reknown billionaires, it would be a tough fight for APGA.As for APC, Fashola's sneeze may have cost Chris Ngige a good chance.
