With the elections coming up in Ondo state, there is a lot of tension in the air as well as excitement. All eye are on Ondo state this week as the good people once again decides who they want to become their governor beyond 2013.Olusegun Mimiko is the current governor and someone who the people already know and seem satisfied with seeing that he has done well for his people. Chances are that he is more likely to win a re-run when the time comes.Are Ondo people really ready for a change? Would they prefer to vote for another party like the ACN or the PDP? Those are the competition which the Iroko is having to deal with in this coming election as they both seem determined to take over office from him.Some are saying that the Iroko would be cut down while some are saying that his end has come but the bottomline is what the voters are really saying.Mimiko happens to be one of the most popular candidates for the job if not the most and the Labour party in Ondo happens to have the largest pool of loyal voters in the state and it seems unlikely that the Iroko would be shaken.If Mimiko wins the governorship election in Ondo state again, it would be an assurance that the good people of Ondo still have a lot of love for him and want him to continue. It would mean that the people's choice has again been respected. It would mean that the people of Ondo would enjoy 4 more years of stability and possible economic growth. It would consolidate the Labour party in power and probably help in her expansion to other states.Is the Labour Party and Mimiko most likely to win Ondo again? I think yes and here is why: Why Labour party is most likely to win
========================================
- The incumbent has a double chance of winning than a new candidate
- He has done well for his people
- He has a strong grassroot support among Labour party who are the major voting power block
- He has most publicity
- He has good plans for his peopleYou can learn more about Olusegun Mimiko's plan for Ondo state here: http://www.segunmimiko.com
