One thing I love about Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose is a policy he has put in place that caters for the stomach of his people and it's called stomach infrastructure. While many Nigerians know that it's the duty of the government to provide public infrastructure that would be toe the benefit of everyone and this includes good roads, schools, medical facilities and other things, Fayose seems to have included something out of the box and in this case, something that does good to the stomach.Stomach infrastructure goes directly to satisfy the hunger of the ordinary people. Recently, he gave out a lot of rams to Muslims in the state to help them celebrate Sallah and he's also planning to do something similar for Christians during the Christmas period. He is the kind of governor everyone would want to have or would I say the poor people. Many poor people who actually form the majority of voters in the state are the major beneficiaries of the Stomach Infrastructure program being run by Ayo Fayose.Stomach infrastructure is one of the things which is making Ekiti state citizens to like their governor more and more as he gives them food stuff that they need directly without having to wait for government projects and other things which every state government is meant to do. Nigerians seem to want their own benefit of democracy hear and now rather than later on.How is the governor funding the stomach infrastructure program? I guess it's from the state's funds because it would be very hard to fund it from his own personal wealth.Fayose's stomach infrastructure program reminds me a bit of the charity which the late M.K.O. Abiola also showed by distributing food items during his campaign for election but that came to an end soon and some even complained that it didn't go round. Will Ekiti state people be satisfied with the stomach infrastructure program without complaining too that it didn't go round? I guess that's what makes it quite different from the regular infrastructural investments which will be used by everyone in the state. If good roads are built or power plants are developed, it would be to the good of everybody but if food items are distributed to only a few people, others may soon complain that it didn't reach them.I like the Stomach infrastructure program being carried out by the Ekiti state PDP led government because it caters directly for the ordinary people but I do hope that it doesn't stop or prevent the government from doing the regular things they ought to do with the funds of the state which includes making life a bit better for everyone.
