Although the former army General has tried 3 times to win the presidential election against the PDP, he has not succeeded but it seems that some people still believe that 2015 will be his turn to win and the number of those people have increased over the years he's been trying. While many people have given some reasons why Buhari might very well lose again, I just thought I should give some reasons why he could possibly win this one against an incumbent president but it won't be an easy win.5 Reasons why he could win in 20151. He has joined forces with the South West: Unlike in the past when he mostly relied on votes from the North East where he hails from, Buhari is doing something different this time. He has partnered with politician who control a large number of votes in Nigeria's South Western region and this could help him get the most votes that he has even received in the past.2. Nigerians are getting tired of the PDP and want change: It has been over 15 years of PDP rule and not many have benefited much from it. A growing number of Nigerians are getting tired of hearing news reports about terrorist killing civilians, getting poorer as a result of the low purchasing power of the Naira and so on. Nigerians at 3. He may win sympathy votes because of his age: He is the oldest man running for president and given that this may very well be the last time he's running before fully retiring, chances are that more people might vote for him based on sympathy.4. The opposition has grown stronger: Yes, the opposition has grown stronger than it used to be in the past as it seems now that a good number of opposition parties have merged together for form a stronger and single opposition under the APC. Chances are that they will get more votes than they've ever received in the past.5. Economic dissatisfaction: Not many Nigerians are happy with the current economic situation in the country. Many want an improvement at least by having more disposable income and at least be able to cater for their varying needs. Many Nigerians are still struggling to pay their bills and have not really seen much improvement from successive PDP led governments. Will he eventually win? Well, only God knows and we'll get to see the results after the elections have been held on February 14th
