I've checked through the history of the United States of America and noticed that the nation which is over 200 years old since their independence have something particular about them - They've never had a woman as President! Now it's 2016 and just a couple of years ago, they had their first black or would I say African American President. So, African Americans beat women in the race for the number 1 spot in the white house. Does it mean that a woman can't be President of the USA? Well, I think they can but I'm not sure if their time is now given the fact that not all American women are proud of what Obama has done already.President Obama came at a time when many Americans were tired of the Bush administration although I quite fancy some of the things that Bush did, the truth is that people get tired of a President at times and would rather vote for a change when the time is right. Despite the fact that some people wanted to get Bush out of the white house, there were still a huge number of people who wanted him to continue in office rather than have a black man as President. Now that the Presidential race has been split between 2 opposite characters - Clinton and Trump, it seems like it's really going to be easy for Americans to decide who they want to become their leader by the time November elections roll by. Personally, I would vote for Trump if I were American because I'm tired of reading some of the things that President Obama has done since he entered the white house. However, my vote doesn't count. It is reported that American women form the majority of registered voters in the USA and would more than likely vote for Hilary but that seems to have been so for a long time and yet they've mostly been voting for men into office. One thing I've learnt about Hilary Clinton is that she is a really strong woman and I would probably want her to be President too but not to continue the which Obama had already started. The United States needs to regrow its economy and make their products competitive again rather than buying everything they need from China. They need to reverse some of those unjust laws they've made under Obama and push themselves once again as the world leaders.I know a lot of American women like all women everywhere would want a female to rise to the top, this gives Hilary a chance against Trump and makes it likely that November elections could be a close call. Trump is also a formidable candidate who even Obama is afraid could replace him and that's why the President had to step in to support Hilary publicly and denouncing Trump, hence, doing something which most American Presidents would not do.Hilary Clinton has already made history by being the first female American to win a Presidential primary in a major political party. If she goes ahead to win the election in November, she would make another history as America's first female President and that would open the doors for many more women to be president. One thing I've learnt is that most women, unlike men, are not too keen in running for public offices and many would rather stay by the side and support men to win elections. For us to have a women who is actually running for the office herself shows that she is really a strong role model for American women. The main question however would be on whether Americans would vote massively for her when the time comes or would they judge her for Obama's imperfections and vote for Trump just to effect a change in Washington.
